Wick-Werke, Merkelbach, Stadelmann & Co. - Vintage German Lidded Stein 1930's Per research: Impressed mark. Aktiengesellschaft (AG) Wick-Werke, c/w "Made in Germany", dated c.1921 to the mid 1950's. It has also been seen in conjunction with "Western Germany" impressions. Approx. measures 9.25 in. tall. Not sure of the date but believe to be late 1920's - late 1930's. Estate purchase. See the interior note as given as a gift. Vintage Beer Lidded German Stein Reinhold Merkelbach depicting gents at the bar with the bar matron close by. There is a banner to the right stating "Froher Sinn u Frischer Trunk" (Joyful sense and fresh drink). Bottom has makers mark the number 21 and #6497 and Made In Germany Stamping in blue. Another indention that I can't make out. Has DRGM mark imprinted by inside the pewter lid. Could use a light cleaning. Very good condition, I see no chips or cracks.
