Very nice Thewalt limited edition (1100/10000) German beer stein with pewter lid. No. 297 Festive Drinking Scene designed by Wilhelm Kamp from the early 1900s. Shows a tavern scene with people playing instruments, a couple arm-wrestling, and someone being chased out with a broom. At the top, are the words "Dem Glücklichen schlägt keine Stunde" (Time does not strike for the fortunate) and the bottom has the words "ehrlich währt am längsten" (honesty is the best policy).
