1858 O Liberty Seated Half Dime - GOOD - $15 - (Verona, VA)
Here is a Liberty Seated half dime from 1858 and minted in New Orleans. This coin was designed by Christian Gobrecht and was issued from 1837-1873 and is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. There were several varieties made during the run of half dimes. Variety 2 featured Stars On Obverse (1838-1853), Variety 3 featured Arrows at Date (1853-1855), Variety 2 Resumed (1856-1859) with Weight Standard of Variety 3 and Variety 4 featured Legend on Obverse (1860-1873). The mint mark is located on the reverse underneath "HALF DIME" inside the wreath. Coins minted in Philadelphia do not have a mint mark. Coins that were minted in New Orleans have an "O" mint mark. This half dime appears in a GOOD circulated condition. The buyer will receive the coin in the pictures provided. If you would like additional pictures, just let us know.
