Anasazi Mimbres Fish Replication Bowl - $110 - (Springerville, AZ)

The Mimbres culture was an offshoot of the Anasazi tribe that existed in the southwestern deserts of North America 200 to 1150 A.D. Today the Mimbres Culture is best known for its artisans who painted a variety of small to medium sized ceramic bowls that celebrated the natural world that surrounded them. The bowl features the picture of a fish painted upon its interior. The design is highly stylized in Mimbres tradition. The replication was produced using primitive techniques and processes which rendered its surface rich with fire clouds and a smoky patina. “Fish Bowl” was handmade in the White Mountains of Arizona at Starling Black Studio by Mrs. Coral and Mr. Starling Black who strive for authenticity in their work. Starling Black Studio’s mission is to protect and preserve the prehistoric arts by creating replications of valuable artifacts which are not only affordable but also available. If you enjoy the simple beauty and rawness of prehistoric art, but choose not to collect original artifacts, then a replication bowl is a viable alternative solution. You will not be disappointed with the appearance of this bowl! Dimension: 7 Inch Diameter Bowl Price: $110.00 with free handling and shipping to anywhere in the contiguous United States of America
