Vintage Napier Art Deco "Dial-A Drink" Cocktail Shaker With 15 Recipes,+ Jigger - $350 - (Parsonsfield, ME)
Here is a vintage original Napier Dial A Drink silverplated cocktail shaker and a Napier 2 ounce silverplated cocktail jigger. The shaker is in very good condition with normal surface wear to the outside. Most of these are very worn and dented. This one is one of the nicer ones i have seen as far as condition. It is from the 1930's. The insides are extremely clean! No dents! The cap does have a couple of tiny, minor 1/4" hairline cracks, as shown in the last picture frame. They are so small and minor, they are hard to make out or photograph! There are 15 recipes. They are as follows: Alexander, Bacardi, Between The Sheets, Bronx, Clover Club, Dry Martini, Dubonnet, Gin Ricky, Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Orange Blossom, Palm Beach, Side Car, Tom Collins, and Whiskey Sour. The cocktail shaker stands about 11" tall. On the bottom of the shaker, it is marked Napier U.S. Patents And Foreign Patents Pending. This is one of the first ones made since it has no patent numbers. The jigger is also in very good condition. It is stepped and has 1/2 OZ, 1 OZ, 1 1/2 OZ, and 2 Oz increments on the side. It is marked Napier Pat Pend on the underside of the handle. It is 2 1/2" tall. What a nice set to add to any collection.
