The Iowa CornhuskersThe name, Iowa Cornhuskers, rapidly became a byword for entertainment pleasure throughout the entire Midwest. This versatile ensemble was organized back around 1933 by the late Les Hartmann. The group played the most popular midwest area dance spots in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. The Iowa Cornhuskers had the talents to play, "Old Time," "Western Swing" and "modern dance" music with equal grace and it enabled them to gain a large urban as well as rural fan base. The band also performed for a time on radio station KXEL out of Waterloo, Iowa, where they were said to be extremely popular. Page measurement: 3 7/8" x 3 5/8".Good condition.
