Antique, 4 Drawer National Cash Register, c.a. 1890-1900s Solid Quarter Sawn Oak - $5,150 - (Bellevue, ID)
I'm 77 years old, selling antique items from my family's estate (1890's - 1900's) here on eBay. This beautiful cash register has been in the family for many many years. This is one, of probably eight, all assorted, which are in storage. As you can see in the pictures, this cash register is all solid brass and nickle. Note the detail refinish work on the back side of the cash register, and on the back door. All Quarter Sawn Solid Oak has been refinished a few years back. As for the refinishing of the woodwork, I professionally did that myself. Some things you refinish, some times you do not. On the side of the cash register, there is what looks like a cap missing, obtainable I'm sure from antique cash register vendors. Also obtainable are keys (some of which I have, but am not sure if they are for this particular register). The Hand Crank works very smoothly. The Model No. 572-4-C, and also there's a number listed on the cash register, which is 869960. Measurements: 21 inches deep, by 28.5 inches wide, by 41 inches high to the top of the sign, see pictures. It needs some oiling, because it has been in storage. The marble slab is in perfect condition. I could go on and on, but this item is one of the best four drawer cash registers I have ever seen. My family and I collected nothing but the best. ...From barbershop, to candy machine registers etc. etc. (there are many items in the estate, see my other existing and upcoming eBay listings!) We are selling this item, which is one of our favorites. ...And certainly one of the heaviest cash registers in existence! I am very fond of this item, and have enjoyed using it in the Den & Game Room of my house (smoke free home).
