TIFFANY STYLE YELLOW "DAFFODILS" STAINED ART GLASS WINDOW PANEL WALL HANGING Louis Comfort Tiffany's love of nature inspired him to create elaborate landscape windows unprecedented in the medium of stained glass. Tiffany's favorite color was yellow, and he was especially fond of daffodils. Once when he was expecting guests he planted an entire field of daffodils at his Oyster Bay estate, Laurelton Hall. The Daffodils window is in the collection of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park, Florida. The Morse Museum houses the world's most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) including Tiffany jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded glass windows, lamps and the chapel interior he designed for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The glass panel measures approximately 11.5" by 7.5" Each glass panel is made with hand applied, high quality, color pigmentation that is kiln fired and fused to the glass in multiple layers creating rich color that will not fade or scratch off. It is framed in metal with two eyelets to attach the metal chain for hanging. Please see our other listings for more great artist renditions and other great gifts and collectibles!
