The Michigan Youth Violence Prevention Center (MI-YVPC) at the University of Michigan is conducting a research study around community engagement and revitalization/greening in Youngstown, Ohio. For more info on the project, please visit our website: http://yvpc.sph.umich.edu/ Position overview: Research istants are responsible for two main duties: administering surveys to Youngstown residents throughout local neighborhoods and conducting parcel essments. Additional duties may be required as needed. Research istants will work outdoors in teams while surveying residents door-to-door in the igned neighborhoods and while rating the physical appearance of property parcels. The perfect applicant will be comfortable working in diverse communities working directly with the public. This job necessitates research istants to be regularly scheduled in 8 hour shifts ranging from Monday thru Sunday, 8am to 7pm depending on the needs of the project. This is an outdoor position working in various types of weather.
