Manager, Facilities Design and Construction (Group Supervisor) - (Laurel, MD)

Position details: Reporting to the Department Head of the Facilities Management Department (FMD), the Group Supervisor for Facilities Design and Construction will lead innovative change that will improve the APL campuses while maintaining the institutions responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to it. The selected candidate will lead, promote, and direct a comprehensive customer-sensitive unit for 1 of APLs functional Facilities areas. They must work at the highest levels of integrity, honesty, and openness, and create strong and enduring collaborative relationships across the organization and external constituencies. As a key steward of the APLs facilities, they are responsible for the project development and programming of capital projects, guidance for architectural designs, the selection of architectural consultants, and leadership of the Design and Construction portfolio and team. In addition, they will lead initiatives to meet the long-range aesthetic goals of APL.
