60's Restoration Mission San Juan de Capistrano~San Antonio TEXAS~O'Neill Ford - $60 - (Hilton Head Island, SC)

Up for auction a RARE spiral heavy paper-bound book documenting the 1960's plan for restoration of the Mission San Juan Capistrano in San Antonio, Texas. The book states that the Archbishop of San Antonio invited a non-sectarian committee to assume the responsibility for such a restoration. This book not only documents the history of the mission contributed by the Bexar County Archivist and Librarian of the Alamo but displays artistic drawings of the ruins. There are two very long fold-outs, one more than 100" giving elevations of the east and south walls; the other a 70" giving elevations of the west wall. As stated in the condition description, the paper is yellow from age and my camera makes the paper more white than yellow. This was the 60's plan for restoration.
