Steubenville Pottery Oval Platter Antique Moss Rose Ironstone Serving Plate SP - $26 - (Osage, IA)

This is a beautiful and very old platter from Steubenville Pottery, USA. The ground is a soft white and it has moss roses with hand painted pink and green accents over a reddish-brown transfer pattern. It has some nice heft to it. (OEG)It has no chips or cracks. There is fine crazing all over, some wear to the enamel accents on the roses, utensil marking (35%) and a couple small, light stains. Otherwise a beautiful, old platter with lots of charm. Approx.
