RUSSIAN SILVER & ENAMEL PITCHER WINE CASKET - SIGNED - RARE FORM A rare, vintage Russian silver and cloisonne enamel wine casket. Signed. Acquired from a well known Manhattan auction house. The Russian silver expert advised us signed by Moscow shop "SG" working from 1899-1908, and that the enamel work was later. We provide this as guidance, we are not Russian silver experts. Realistically crafted as a wine casket with streaming leaf and vine Niello work. And multi-color cloisonne enamel each set in silver gilt beaded frame. Gilt rim and chained cover. Gilt hallmarked handle and spikot atop conforming silver gilt scrolling vine legs. Hallmarked to the handle, leg and inside rim as shown. The rare Russian silver and enamel wine casket is 7 inches long weighs 23 1/2 standard ounces. In fine condition. Rich vibrant cloisonne detail and silver patina. No apparent loss to enamels.
