ORIGINAL CIVIL WAR or earlier EAGLE DRUM with Provenance Dehart A Dentist In An Ohio Regiment. Family from the fathers side has a a history on the fathers side that it belonged to a Dehart in an Ohio regiment who was twice captured and was a dentist. I’m sure a little bit of research can pinpoint who it is. The drumsticks are associated and are perhaps a bit earlier. Condition is that shown lots of rubs scratches paint loss the skin on the drum looks original on both sides. Measures 16 3/4 inches in diameter by 14 1/2 tall. Fresh from a North Carolina estate.
