ORIG. 1929 Realsilk Hosiery PRINT AD Female Fashion Leaders in Cloches Art Deco - $15 - (Cushing, ME)
We love all the decades of the 20th century for one reason or other, but these 20s/30s and their Art Deco-y goodness are something extra special. We don't care if this ad is for doorknobs or panty hose, we are are gloriously fixated on the cloche hats, striped wallpaper and Deco font. So mesmerized are we, we actually buy that there was ever really a Realsilk Fashion Committee. ;) We rescued this terrific print ad from a 1929 women's magazine and trimmed away staple marks and any heavier age browning and/or moisture and other damage from the edges. There are a few crinkles at the left edge because the magazine was VERY tightly bound and as you see in the lower left corner has a very light crease. These little cosmetic issues won't stop this beauty from looking awesome framed and decorating your fridge, retro den or wherever you keep your cloche rack. ;) 14" X 10.5" We ship in cello bags, between cardboard and in poly mailers.
