This is a Burke & James 8x10 to 4x5 sliding reducing back. It also fits on a Kodak 8x10 2D camera which is what I used it on. This allows you to use standard film backs and make two images on a standard 4x5 film or plate. You take one image then slide the back to the other half of the film and expose the 2nd half.
