POLINI THOR 200 HF ENGINEØ28 carburetor – ELECTRIC starter + manual FLASH STARTER The new Polini Thor 200 HF has been developed by the Polini R&D team using the new 3D modeling software systems and flow dynamic simulation. The result of this research and the introduction of the innovative Spark Cooler System grant better cooling improving the performance of the Thor 200 HF. It has been used during the last 2018 French Championship and it has already won its first title with the pluri-world champion Alex Mateos, confirming the reliability of the new THOR 200 HF. All these mechanical improvements concretize in advanced technology, better performance, and extraordinary weight/power ratio and above it is possible to exploit all the engine power. The cooling has been improved after a careful inspection of the air flows for the engine cooling and thanks to the new cooling shroud which keeps the operating temperatures under 10-15% (in standard conditions) increasing the engine reliability. Technical features: “HF” COOLING SHROUDThe new design of the “COVER” cooling shrouds optimizes and accelerates the incoming flows and increases the exit power towards the propeller.Together with the air forced system it grants great performance in terms of cylinder cooling. SPARK COOLING SYSTEMSCS is the innovative cooling system of the spark plug that lows the working temperatures in the point of highest warm and in the burning chamber, eliminating the events of over-heating. Polini SCS system reduces the EGT temperatures till 100 C° and till 50 C° the ones under the spark plug. HEADThe new profile of the burning chamber improves the propagation of the flame optimizing the fuel combustion phase. This peculiarity, together with the increasing of the compression ratio, improves the engine performance reducing the fuel consumption.
