A lone Japanese dragon set amidst streaming flames. The serpent primarily in soft shades of green with cream color underbelly. The entire work in fine silver wire. Background in rare carnelian blue. Signed in characters to lower rim. Box also signed. ? This late Meiji Japanese cloisonne dragon in flames ginger jar is 9 inches across and 8 1/2 inches tall. Original signed presentation box is 10 X 10 X10. In very fine condition. The enamel color retains original luster. Rims intact, no apparent loss to enamels. Box restored. WAS $4800.
