PAIR EXQUISITELY HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN MEIJI WISTERIA, KOI,BIRDS - $765 - (Lambertville, NJ)

Pair of Antique Japanese Hand Painted Porcelain Vases Meiji Period These may have been done by Imari.  There is something that looks like a mark (see last photos) and an indentation under base  Circa 1885-1895 Size 11 inches high  Measuring around the widest part of vase the diameter is 5.5 inches The  rim is 3.5 diameter Exquisitely hand painted in pastel colors of blue, green, ivory or bone colored porcelain, wisteria purple and yellow, orange carp, highly decorated orange and gold rims and base.   Wisteria vines trailing down the vases with the carp/koi and catfish (4 fish total on one vase) swimming beneath.  The other vase has the wisteria with 2 birds in flight and two birds nesting on a branch.   The artist has depicted nature at its best.   International Buyers please note: import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
