We don't have the power supply that was needed in order to power this unit up so it is untested. The A3318 re-broadcasts this analogsignal to a Device Under Test (DUT), perhaps withadditional degradations, either through a multi-modefiber at 850 nm or electrically through coaxial cable.Similarly, an optical signal over multi-mode fiber, or anelectrical signal over coaxial cable, sent to the A3318by a DUT is digitally re-broadcast to the OST via a singlemode fiber.The A3318 works only with an OST and will not operatein a stand-alone mode.
