Vintage Venetian Italian Velvet and Silk Textile Sampler Square Table Runner - $125 - (Stonington, ME)

This sampler square is made of 16 different multicolor scraps of antique Venetian cut velvet and jacquard silk with fancy gold metallic ribbons overlaying every seam, it is backed in solid burgundy silk moire fabric. It has silk hand made multi color pom pom ball fringe all the way around in green, burgundy, gold, beige. This collector's textile was made and purchased in Venice, Italy. It can be laid on a table as a centerpiece, framed and hung as a tapestry on a wall, or carefully converted into a high end decorative designer pillow. It could be applied to the back of a jacket. It is 13" square (not including 1" fringe all around).
