Antique PAIR of copper London street lanterns with original pole mounts "IMPRESS - $5,900 - (Mccloud, CA)
Absolutely beautiful and extremely rare antique London street lanterns made of copper and iron. These beauties have been lovingly restored with new glass, wiring and copper finials. One finial was missing and the other dented from a tree branch. Replacements were found from a manufacturer in London and reinstalled. They also include their original spider mounts for pole installation and I have manufactured in my shop a pair of iron brackets to allow for the lanterns to be mounted on a stone wall or brick, stucco etc. and are included in the sale. This listing is for a matching pair as pictured. They have a hinged door to allow for bulb replacement and hold a single medium sized bulb. As always they should be inspected and installed by a qualified person. They are stunning and in great condition and only need a few years in the outdoors to complete a patina to the finials. The wiring includes a ground wire and they were originally gas and lit the streets of London for over 100 years. They are very large at App, 44" in overall height and 18" in width.
