Vintage 1940S Shure 708A Zeplin Microphone And Desk Stand Old Antique Prop Deco - $175 - (Park Rapids, MN)

Hello my name is John. I restore, recondition vintage microphones for display, prop and functional use. I am offering this classic 1940's era Shure 708A crystal microphone with Atlas DS5 desk stand for display or prop use as the crystal element is no longer working. This is the older black label model also know as the Zeplin or rocket mic. The original painted body has minimal paint loss and some wear. The black screen is clean and rip free and all the ribs on the face are unbroken with no bends or dings. The chrome handle has the typical pitting and the model band has wear. All threading is clear and the angle adjustment is nice and tight. The heavy metal base is 6 inches round and the full height with the microphone mounted at an angle is around 10 1/2 inches depending on desired angle of display. A very nice vintage set.
