The bridal basket of exquisite workmanship represents AUSTRIAN ART NOUVEAU AT IT’S BEST. The silver plate basket features stunning metal work, depicting gorgeous raspberries. It stands on four legs, complete with an elaborate handle. The hand cut thick glass insert has stunning cobalt blue color.The bridal basket is as seen in the photos. The hallmarks can be clearly seen on the bottom of one of the legs: a profile of a walking bear and letters BMF ASII. This mark represents ARTHUR KRUPP BERNDORFER METALLWARENFABRIK, Austria, founded in 1843. The mark was in use in 1880-1930.Measurements: The bridal basket measures approx. 3.4" tall at the rim and 8.75" tall at the elevated handle level, 9" wide across the middle. The weight is 1kg 458g.Condition: The antique Berndorf silver plate and hand cut glass bridal basket is in very good condition, with just a couple of small chips on the rim of glass insert, these aren’t noticeable when inserted into the SP basket part and can be easily polished off if desired.
