Superb Ottoman Empire / 19thC Turkish Silver Book Cover w/ Mop, Gold & Turquoise This superb silver book cover is decorated with applied solid gold and silver overlay wire work. It is adorned with turquoise, mother of pearl, and red, blue, and green stones. It dates from the Ottoman Empire / late 19th Century. It measures approximately 4 + ¼ inches top to bottom and just under 3 inches wide when closed. When open it measures approximately 5 + 3/4 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with the exception of tarnish, and it is missing two of the small turquoise stones. Shipping & Handling charger will be paid by Buyer.
