NARISHIGE EG-6 MICRO PIPETTE ELECTRODE NEEDLES OPTIC FIBER GRINDER Narishige's EG-6 represent an older but much better model of glass micro-grinders series such as EG-401, EG-400, and EG-44. It is built with Fukoku_Shinsei USR-45 rotary ultrasonic piezo motor offering stabilized high-precision grinding or ultra-precise polishing at low and high speed. It includes a built-in binocular microscope to observe the grinding progress and precision X+Z coarse/fine micromanipulator for positioning tool vs. grinding plane. The EG-6 can be used for beveling glass micro-capillary, micro-electrode, or micro-injection needles to make larger opening and sharper tip geometry, as well as reshaping and polishing fiber-optic opto-genetic micro tools and ampero-metric micro-electrodes. The EG6 is equipped with pressure-controlled check valve liquid dispenser for continuous lubrication. It allows touch-less control of liquid supply to "whetstone" disk during grinding procedure without mechanical deflection of instrument holder as it occurs in other grinders. The dispensing speed is controlled by adjusting pressure in the auxiliary siring connected to the cheek valve. In addition this set includes dedicated pipette holder which allows to apply air pressure inside grinding capillary and reduce tip contamination with grind-out particles.
