This is an original 5.5" x 3.25",16-page advertising booklet from the Rock Island Plow Co..It tells the story of a king in Africa that wished he had a more efficient way to harvest grain. Then magically a man appears selling a Rock Island hay loader. The King said he'd pay gold for 50 more. A month later they arrive. Then later on he buys plows,disks,grain drills,& other machinery from the Rock Island Plow Co..The last 2 pages advertise the "Simple Simon" & "Rock Island" sulky plows. They were introduced in 1897.It's in great condition with only minor wear.The inside is clean.A nice booklet if you collect old farm advertising or black memorabilia.
