Pool theme pinball machine gottlieb 1962 Rack-A-Ball - $1,500 - (Etowah, NC)
This auction is for a machine I have owned for 13 years and is out of our personal collection of 40+ Gottlieb machines, not a machine that is being "flipped" for a quick sale. The machine is working 100% and has been tweaked for optimum operation over the years. Every switch, and I mean every switch, has been cleaned and adjusted properly. All stepping switches (score reels, 0-9 unit, ball rack unit, score motor unit) has been cleaned and properly lubricated per manufacturer specifications. New rubber rings were installed last year after I completely stripped the playfield of all parts, cleaned them, tumbled the metal parts, polished and waxed (2 coats) the playfield. This should give the buyer a very dependable machine for years to come. Please review the pictures in detail to see any cosmetic defects. To mention the worst: The backglass art has some missing paint around and on the woman in the red dress, her chin and throat. Also see above the letter K in machine name for missing paint. The cabinet has typical scratches and graffiti but the overall paint condition is not yellow like most machines of this age. All cabinet metal is not rusted and has been cleaned and polished. The front door has a mirror-like finish but is not perfect as can be seen in the paperwork picture. The door does have several small dents and includes new lock and red start button. The lock-down molding bar (where player rest hands during play) is a reproduction part that includes new end caps that rest in the palm of the hand. Four reproduction chromed legs, four new leg levelers, and all eight new leg bolts installed. The playfield is the machine's best feature and does have wear at the pop bumpers. Paperwork includes 2 original schematics, several original Score and Instruction Cards with envelope, and playfield posts adjustment sheet.
