The Wonderful World of the Wizard of Oz collection was the first set of porcelain dolls ever based on the original Oz books written by L. Frank Baum at the turn of the century. "The Tin Man" an original issue in the subscription of "The Wonderful World of Oz" collection, is 16.5" tall, has porcelain head, hands, feet and lower legs. The Tin Man is held together by tiny sculpted bolts and pleated silver fabric. A red heart adorns his chest. His accessories include his hatchet and small oil can.
