Old Beautiful Indian Gourd Triinket Pot 7" Southwest Pueblo Hopi - $200 - (Winslow, AZ)

This beautiful old gourd is unsigned so its origin is not certain, however it is from the Four Corners area and most likely of Hopi or possibly Laguna origin. The gourd is 7" diameter, with decoration stitched in leather and painted on. The inside is lined with felt. The colors are still bright and vibrant and the work is intact. It is in very good condition but has a couple of surface cracks from age near the opening at the top. This is not unusual for a gourd more than half a century old and does not take away from its beauty. Please note that the photos are considered to be part of my description!
