Sr Analytical Facility Research Associate - (Berkeley, CA)

Berkeley Lab's Biological Systems & Engineering Division has an opening for a Senior Analytical Facility Research Associate. This Senior Research Associate position will support the implementation of analytical protocols required for metabolomics experiments. The successful candidate will carry out bench-scale analytical chemistry assays, sample preparation, and data analysis for metabolic engineering experiments, metabolomics methods development. This Senior Research Associate position is part of a multidisciplinary team of mass spectrometrists, chemical engineers, biologists, fermentation scientists and chemists as part of the Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI). What You Will Do: Support bioanalytical research (e.g., metabolite, carbohydrate, lipid, or fuel related products, etc.) via mass spectrometry-based analytical methodologies. Analyze data via various analysis platforms (e.g., Mass Hunter Qual and Quant, and Profinder) and provide assistance with cross-cutting technologies across JBEI related projects.
