XXL Antique 19th c Shawl Blanket Gettysburg College University Bowles Provenance - $125 - (Sebastopol, CA)
Very large wool / cashmere ? blanket with a box which states " The shawl that grandad used while he was a student at Gettysburg College" The box is dated 1943 so its got to be at least pre 1900. I found only 2 small holes in the blanket but there are some groupings of faded spots, see photos. Family name is Bowles. The wool is soft and excellent quality.
