Puerto Rico Specimen 5 Pesos 1889, PCGS Very Choice New 64 PPQ Pick 20, Series C, No Date, El Banco Espanol De Puerto Rico, San Juan, PCGS 64PPQ Very Choice New. Wide top sheet margin with Archival pencil “1889” and “5/”. There is also a very faint Violet Rectangular Archival Stamp with the usual “RETURN TO / ISSUE ROOM / To be held for reference” on the obverse. Well-centered, and crisp antique banknote with bright Orange back. We would grade 62, since there are two really difficult to find microscopic pinholes, not mentioned by PCGS. This note was absent from the large group of Specimen Puerto Rico notes just sold at a major auction in Spain. Pick (16th) only notes “Archive Copy”, without any prices. Very Rare antique banknote.
