Marvel Super-Heroes #1 CGC 9.2 -Boston Pedigree!-1st Marvel One-Shot! 1966 - Key - $295 - (Saucier, MS)
Marvel Super-Heroes #1 from Oct. 1966 This thick square-bound silver age comic book is a great issue for fans of the "Marvel Comics Universe", as it is the very first ever of the multitude of Marvel "One-Shots"(!) - and it features the first reprinting of the Origin of Daredevil, as well as a classic Avengers tale, and a Golden Age era story featuring the Human Torch and the Sub-Mariner (aka "Namor") characters, and is a cool vintage collectible for super-hero fans, in general, for being a Key "First" because of just that "One-Shot" factor (plus, of course, the "Pedigree" status of this copy!) This high grade (Near-Mint) copy has been graded by 3rd party grading company CGC at a 9.2 with Off-White pages. This gorgeous near-mint square bound silver age key comic book, also has a bit of extra "Wow" factor, because it has the added "Provenance" of being from the "Boston Pedigree" (and "Boston" is noted on it's "old school" CGC more vintage-looking label) making this an especially neat copy of this particular comic book to have to the discriminating collector of such comics. These square-bound covers are a bit tougher to find in nice shape like this, and these darker background covers tend to show every little defect, and this one sure presents extremely well for the given grade, (as a 9.2 would suggests) in my opinion. Thanks for looking, and please see my other items for sale, for more graded key vintage comic book listings!
