For sale is a 2005 Haas VF-3SS CNC Mill with an included Haas TR-160 5 axis rotary (circa 2012 to 2015). This machine runs well and is currently in service making 6061 aluminum parts. We have several TR-160 rotaries and VF3-SS mills at our facility. We just sold the older style TR-160 rotary that is pictured inside the mill. This mill will include a newer style TR-160, see photo of rotary on pallet. The rotary was just serviced by Haas this month at a cost of a little over $2k to replace all seals and o rings. We can provide the Haas service report on request showing work done and performance test pass. Known problems: The only known issue with this machine is that the tool changer is missing 2 pockets, meaning it only holds 38 tools instead of 40. About 5 years years ago we had an issue where the tool changer broke off a couple pockets from the casting. We had the tool changer fixed (completely rebuilt by Haas), but to fix the missing pockets, we would need to order an entire new casting for the tool changer wheel for an extra $5,000. We elected not to replace that casting because we do not need a tool capacity higher than 38 tools and the missing 2 pockets have no impact on the machine function. The missing pocket numbers are simply blocked out in the machine parameters. Spindle and motor are about 2 years old, replaced in 2016.
