Very fine period federal American secretary bookcase with inlay and cross banding. Brasses replaced, but otherwise completely original. The design is adapted from the Hepplewhite English style. The original glass is set in unusually fine cabinetry. Probably Baltimore, c. 1790. The color is more like that shown in the first two photo than in the others. 91"H x 48"W (incl. cornice) x 24"D There is glass breakage in two adjacent panes at the top left with a triangular piece about 1 1/2” long missing.
