Bulbous Blue & White Stoneware Pitcher of Dutch Windmill and Bush - $70 - (Abilene, KS)

For your consideration is a blue and white, stoneware pitcher. A Dutch windmill and an artist's interpretation of a bush appear on each side. Below the windmill and the bush (on both sides) are 5 tulips. A pitcher like this, appears on page 75 of Blue & White Stoneware by Kathryn McNerney. The height is 7", the bottom has a diameter of 5" and the rim has a diameter of 4 3/4" This pitcher is an old item that has been used. It has 0 chips, however on the interior and both places where the handle was applied, there are factory imperfections caused by the clay being too damp when it was kiln fired. These factory imperfections resemble cracks. There is a place where an air bubble burst during kiln firing. There are glaze skips.
