3 Gal. Elephant Ear Crock Without Oval. Made of Stoneware in Red Wing, Minnesota - $60 - (Abilene, KS)
For your consideration is a three gallon crock that was manufactured in Red Wing, Minnesota. This crock has the Elephant Ear leaf design and does not have an oval. The Elephant Ear design was used interchangeably with the birch leaf design from the late 1890s until the Red Wing became the identifying logo (1909-1910). The height is 10 3/4" and the bottom has a diameter of almost 9 3/4". This crock is an old item, that was used. It has 0 chips, however starting at the rim is a hairline shaped like an upside down Y. The hairline starts at the rim and runs diagonally thru the 3 and the right leaf. In the right leaf, it turns into hairlines. One hairline runs at a diagonal to the left and the other, at a diagonal to the right. Also between the front and the right side, is an m shaped hairline; this hairline is near to the bottom edge, with the center leg of the m, going out onto the bottom. This crock is very stable. This crock needs a proper cleaning. Please, carefully examine the pictures, as the pictures are part of the description. Local pickup is encouraged and local pickup is free.
