19th C Japan KUTANI 5 Character Mark ORNATE SMALL TRAY Red & Pearl Design - $300 - (Franklin, NC)

This is a beautiful ornately decorated Kutani small porcelain tray signed with a 5 character signature. Among the images in the decoration are two pearls in a stylized oyster shell, a swirling nautilus and flowers everywhere. There are no chips or cracks. We have said it is from the 19th Century, but it may be from 18th Century. There is slight wear all over. It measures 6 inches corner to corner or 5 1/8 inch by 4 1/8 inch by 1 inch deep.
