We are pleased to be offering today this solid rosewood American sofa that dates from the Civil War Era of the 1870s. The overall size is 77 inches across, 62 inches between the arms, 46 inches high to the carved crest, 18 inches high to the serpentine seat. The antique yellow crush velour is in good condition with a couple of stains, which a good cleaning should take care of. The sofa frame is all solid rosewood and the crest, arms and front are all hand carved. There are a couple of seams that have spread a bit, but there are no breaks.
