Sigma guitar enthusiasts know, this is one of the best Sigma models ever made for the C.F. Martin Co. Details are limited, but it has been said that these early Japanese made guitars were manufactured in parts in Japan and then shipped to Nazareth, Pennsylvania for final assembly and set up by Martin. (This one has the FOOTBALL STAMP in the wood just like a Martin on the back brace no sticker!) This guitar has quality all over it. Modeled after the Martin D-41, SERIAL# S46694 it is truly a beautiful! The guitar has the original "Made In Japan" sticker on the back of the head stock. The condition of this guitar is also excellent. There are only a few very, very minor nicks and scratches on this guitar. The kind that you really have to angle it in the light to discover. Straight neck, low action and virtually no fret wear. Stika Spruce Top Laminated Indian Rosewood back and sides in a beautiful gloss finish. Unmistakable Maritn tone when strummed. ( I have a Martin D-28 and it they look and sound like cousins....the big difference in the $$$!) *Original Gold Tone cast tuners that operate super smooth. *Original hardshell case.
