Our incredible antique side cabinet, circa 1890-1920, is an excellent copy of the design by Jean-Henri Riesener (1834-1806) which was installed in the private apartment of King Louis XV at Versailles in 1775. (The original now resides in Musee Conde, Chateau de Chantilly.) It is distinguished by the prominent figures emblematic of Courage, Force, Prudence and Temperence. Measures: Approximately 79 x 38 x 31 in. Overall condition is good. There are scratches, nicks, dents and wear all consistent with age. Mounts have been regilt. Additional images upon request.
