1985 John Deere 490 hydraulic excavator for sale. The machine is missing the S/N plate. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder John Deere turbo diesel engine. The engine starts easy and runs out well. The previous owner replaced the engine with a new one not too long ago. The front glass and front lower glass has been replaced with plexiglass. The machine has heat and no A/C. The bucket cylinder weeps some oil when warm. The hydraulic system is strong. The previous owner told me he has the pump rebuilt/resealed when he replaced the engine.
