Some were given as gifts to postal employees and various dignitaries in Hungary and abroad. Others were sold to collectors for a price that was a multiple of the face value. They provide an interesting stamp collection activity and some are in short supply. Imperforate stamps starting around the year 1958 were valid for postage, and still are. They are found on first day covers as well. Imperforate stamps are listed in various catalogs including Scott and Michel as well as in Hungarian stamp catalogs.
