Ammonites belong to an extinct group of Cephalopods which had external, chambered shells that were used as buoyancy apparatuses.This ammonite species belongs to a unique group called the heteromorphs, and are named so because of their aberrant coiling schemes. Complete fossils of this genus are virtually impossible to find and reconstructed specimens are very, very expensive. This listing gives you the chance to buy an accurate fossil replica of the heteromorph, Spiroxybeloceras meekanum. It is life-size measuring 4.5 inches (11.43 cm) tall.
