1797 S-124 DRAPED BUST LARGE CENT R5+ - $775 - (Minneapolis, MN)

Very late die state, Breen VII. The planchet is covered with microscopic porosity under a rather glossy medium Olive Petina. A punch Mark in front of the nose that is seen as a little bulge on the reverse. There are some tiny pin scratches and rim damage on the reverse, but they are not distracting. The date is weak due to the usual die swelling at the "797" but it remains readable. Most of the Legands remain but a few letters on the reverse are faint due to the obverse bulging and uneven wear.
