Maddie came to HART back in March 2016 after the ASPCAs largest seizure of domesticated animals in NC. Over 700 animals were pulled from the home 40 of them being horses. Maddie had a three wk old filly by her side when she arrived. Her filly is now a yearling and has been adopted out but Maddie is still in the process of rehabilitating her emotional wounds. Maddie would require a very experienced trainer with a gentle touch. For the past year she has been improving by leaps and bounds in her journey to a new life. With the help of an experienced trainer and a handful of volunteers Maddie is slowly becoming a much more confident horse. She has made huge strides and so we are being very careful with who we would consider to be a perfect match for her in order to bring her along with confidence. She craves attention.
