Antique No. 3A Folding Buster Brown camera by Ansco Company - $75 - (Hendersonville, NC)

This is a antique and very rare No. 3A Folding Buster Brown camera. The No. 3A Folding Buster Brown cameras were manufactured by Ansco in circa 1912. The camera body is made out of wood and covered in seal grain imitation leather. The bellows are made of black leather and the metal parts were nickel plated. It was fitted with a fix-focus meniscus lens or a rapid rectilinear lens and a No. 1 Actus shutter providing instantaneous speeds of 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100th part of a second, plus time and bulb. The back panel seems appears to be very nice and clean. The camera folds out nicely and the case measures 5 inches tall by just short of 10 inches long by 2-1/2 inches deep when closed.
