Beautiful hand-knotted wool and silk carpet likely woven in the last 15 years in Afghanistan. The colors are predominately reds and deep blue-black with ivory accents. The design is an allover covered field in repeating gul medallions. The border has a heavy European influence of large scrolling leaves and multiple meandering vine borders. The rug and fringe are in near mint condition, colors bright, with no stains or fading of any kind. A full-sized heavy foam pad is included.
