Offered here for your consideration is a pair of Arts and Crafts wrought iron andirons with incredibly dramatic scale and weight. Each has a large central twist pedestal supported by ornate scroll-work on square feet, with hinged bracket form arms mounted on the pedestals, and stylized flower petal and twisted pistil finials. They date to late 19th or early 20th century. They are in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with one ball element on the side of one foot lacking, some surface rust throughout, a few spots of exfoliation, later black paint, one pedestal slightly loose in the joint (which seats fully with a half rotation), and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
